Rosebank - 1905 (Bennett)

Tentative History:

Dockray and Perrin lived  in a small structure near this location prior to selling the island to the New England Land Company in 1886

1886: Built as a 12' x 16' store by William Gamage.

Current structure was built in 1905 by Francis Nims Thompson who named it "Rosebank" for the wild roses around it.

Cottage purchase by William Bennett Sr. around 1909.

Kay and Bill Bennett acquired the cottage and John acquired the present-day Whites' Cottage
