Sprucetops - 1902

'Sprucetops' was built in 1902 for John S. Van Nest, a chemistry professor at Princeton.  He sold in 1911 to Marion Allen, who was the sister of Elizabeth Allen Keith, owner of the Lodge with her husband Charles.  She sold to Raymond Dodge (Wesleyan Professor) in 1918.  Then Ed and Alison Damon, now inhabited by their descendants in the Cotton Damon/Sonie Zeigler Clan.

  • Raymond Dodge, owner of Sprucetops. Dodge was head of the Psychology Institute at Yale and formerly a Wesleyan professor.
